For almost four years Jack Rigby was leading communications strategies for Mark Stott’s portfolio of businesses including property empire Vita Group and Stockport County Football Club, taking the business out of the shadows and championing Vita as an innovative industry leader in PBSA, Co-living and BTR.
Rigby defined the Union co-living brand, launching it into the market through a dynamic brand & PR launch strategy, helping the scheme achieve record occupancy ahead of schedule, firmly putting Union on the tip of people’s tongues when it came to Manchester’s rental market. And at the end of October, he did the same again for Vita’s new BTR product Uhaus.
Now, Rigby has ventured out on his own, setting up The PR Barn with the mission to unleash brand potential through creative communications.
The PR Barn will play to Rigby’s strengths, building engaged communities of loyal brand advocates for consumer and corporate brands, delivering strategic and creative communications. The consultancy will offer a range of services including PR, events, social and brand development, getting people talking about brands and businesses online, in person and in the media.
Rigby first started his career at Brazen PR back in 2009, from there he moved to integrated advertising and communications agency BJL, now known as Dentsu. Following that, Rigby spent seven years at Carousel PR where he headed up a host of consumer, retail and property clients including intu Trafford Centre, Peel LLP, and Savills as well as a number of consumer brands such as Little Tikes, The Entertainer and Cotton Traders, picking up a raft of PR awards along the way including best use of media relations and best use of creativity.
At Vita, Rigby consulted across Mark Stott’s portfolio of brands and businesses including Stockport County Football Club, Vita Group, Vita Student, Union, Uhaus and DeliveryApp. Football fans may recall Rigby’s launch for Stockport County’s new fan-zone which went viral thanks to his ‘Christmas dinner in a cup campaign’ consuming football social feeds and grabbing headlines in the run up to Christmas.
Jack Rigby, The PR Barn CEO said: “It’s incredibly exciting to officially launch The PR Barn. We’ve already hit the ground running picking up business from clients old and new, helping to unleash their potential through creative communications. We’re keen to build upon this, delivering stand-out campaigns which help our clients grow their businesses”
